My Group Wants to Serve Others

At Evergreen Covenant small groups are the main vehicle for moving our brothers & sisters from level 3 to level 4 discipleship. That is, we want those who are being formed in the context of Christian community (level 3) to take the next step of active, hands-on, service & mission (level 4). Serving in a mission together allows you to grow deeper in community with one another, demonstrate Christ's love to to the world through meeting practical needs, and ultimately be personally and spiritually shaped.

Why Serve Together?
1. The Church was developed to serve Christ's Mission
2. It is a tangible way of demonstrating Christ's love to the world
3. Your group will grow deeper in relationship with one another as you serve alongside one another

How can your group serve?
The Evergreen Missions committee would love to help you plug into congregational missions both locally and/or internationally. We do ask small groups to make congregational missions a priority by first considering how they can join the larger body in service and mission. If there are no present missions that your group is passionate about, meet with the missions chair to discuss other options your small group would like to consider. In doing this we will keep our small groups plugged into the larger body and assist the congregation as a whole in it's local and world mission.
